Measure the resistance across the 3 white wires going to the stator. Value should be 0.11 - 0.17 ohm (1-ohm scale). Start the bike and measure the voltage on across the same white wires and it should be 54V or more (250v scale).I had a used Kaw Vulcan 500 and loved the PNF. Bought a brand new Z750 and the neutral finder doesn't work worth a S*^t. I was very surprised that the same feature from the same manufacturer could be so different. I am still under warranty and have had it back to my Kawasaki dealer who said there's nothing wrong with it. :icon_frowThen buy a beater real cheap.
